For me this was a stunning novel, not only as a mystery but one that gives an unique insight into the mind of someone dealing with dementia and the effects it has on them and their family. Both suggest there’ll be an adventure and probably the solving of a mystery.
'elizabeth is missing' is written with compassion and humour, as well as real sympathy for the main character maud, showing how past and present can be blended, and that those with a better long term than short term memory can have a quality of life within their own memories.
